Kinesix Continues East Asia Momentum With Sale
to China Aerospace Science & Industry Corporation

will use KX EDGE to connect back-end data sources through
dynamic graphics and data animations~
HOUSTON –
(March 19, 2007)
–
Kinesix Software, a producer of
graphical-user-interfaces for command-and-control
applications, has sold several licenses for its KX EDGE
software product to the China Aerospace Science and Industry
Corporation, the main contractor for the Chinese space
program.
Kinesix closed the sale through its
partners at Beijing’s Shengzuo Software Technology, Inc. The
two companies expect China Aerospace Science & Industry
Corporation to use KX EDGE at its Second Academy
organization, which integrates Chinese research and
development with state expertise in electronics, mechanics,
acoustics and optics. The Second Academy, which was founded
in 1957, has developed everything from flight vehicles and
medical instruments to pharmaceutical machinery and
radio-broadcast equipment.
With KX EDGE, the Second Academy will
be able to create customized command-and-control graphics
for complex data streams – the kind of data that would be
too difficult to visualize using standard graphics software
(e.g.: propulsion, telemetry and thermodynamics). Moreover,
KX EDGE will allow the Second Academy to display data using
customized meters, charts and maps. This means the
organization will be able to share graphics in real time
across hundreds of synchronized workstations.
“Second Academy will utilize our
products to monitor huge volumes of data across large
networks using sophisticated graphics,” said Russ Jamerson,
CEO of Kinesix Software. “What’s more, it will be able to do
so without having to develop and maintain complex home-grown
software.”
The sale continues Kinesix’s business
momentum in China, where the company already boasts several
deployments. These include Beijing’s new Metro Line 5 subway
system, the Hong Kong Subway System, the Hong Kong East Rail
System and a deployment with the China Power Investment
Corporation.
The deal also bolsters Kinesix’s long list of aerospace
customers, including: NASA, the Canadian Space Agency, the
Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, Russian Mission Control,
and numerous international aerospace companies.
About Kinesix Software
Kinesix Software is the developer of Sammi, an enterprise
and control-room graphics tool used by more than 20,000
mission-command and process-control workers. The Sammi
product, which was first launched in 1990, allows users to
build custom graphical displays that animate and manage
massive volumes of streaming data across dozens – or even
hundreds – of workstations.
With Sammi, users see full-color
dashboards, instead of rudimentary numeric readings or
basic, conventional GUIs. While Sammi is often categorized
as a graphics product, its real value lies in its proven
ability to display live data across a network of command and
control systems. Sammi is currently available for Unix,
Microsoft NT/2000/XP and Linux platforms. In addition,
Kinesix recently released KX EDGE, its next-generation
human-machine interface, based on Microsoft’s .Net platform.
Kinesix is based in Houston, Texas. To learn more visit
